Theo Trung tâm Dự báo Khí tượng Thủy văn Quốc gia, trong ngày 18/7, vùng núi và trung du Việt Nam tiếp tục xuất hiện mưa dông, mưa to đến nặng hạt, lượng mưa phổ biến từ 50 - 100 mm, có nơi lượng mưa có thể vượt 250 mm.

Lượng mưa lớn trong thời gian ngắn có thể gây ngập úng ở các vùng trũng thấp, các thành phố, khu công nghiệp, đồng thời làm tăng nguy cơ lũ quét ở các sông nhỏ, suối và sườn dốc.
